KCR not averse to Congress support, calls Chandrababu Naidu a friend
He also termed his counterpart in Chandrababu Naidu as his “best friend†and that he would certainly approach him to forge the new front.
Hyderabad: Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday made interesting remarks on his prospective Federal Front during a media interaction in Chennai after his meeting with DMK leaders.
Mr Rao, who proposed to forge a new front minus the Congress and the BJP all these days, said he did not rule out the possibility of aligning with Congress when a reporter questioned him whether he would approach the Congress high command because a Third Front without the Congress would only benefit the BJP.
He also termed his counterpart in Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu as his “best friend” and that he would certainly approach him to forge the new front. “We are neither saying we will associate with the Congress or desert them. We don’t propose any such thing now. We will have discussions among ourselves for the next two-three months and then arrive at a consensus on what we need to do and what we shouldn’t,” he said.
