Kannur: The UDF has raised bogus vote charges in Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's Dharmadom as well.

They accuse the CPM of casting bogus votes in number 52 and 53 booths in the assembly segment, which falls in Kannur Lok Sabha constituency.

The webstreams support the allegation.

Sayooj is a voter at No 47 booth at Kallayi school. His electoral roll number is 188. But he voted at the 52 number booth at Kunnirika UP School around 8 pm.

“He falsely cast the vote of one Akhil Athikka, who is out of the station. He is the son of local CPI leader Surendran Athikka who was the LDF polling agent at the same booth,” alleged UDF booth agent K. Deepesh.

According to him, when the poll officials asked Surendran whether Sayooj is his son, the former kept mum. Then, Sayooj was allowed to cast the vote of Akhil.

“The officials did not heed our objections,” Mr Deepesh said.

The UDF has raised similar allegation at booth number 53 also.
