There are peculiarities in the report and it has been stated that the candidates who were perceived to be weak and were losing were in fact winning.
Kakinada: An Internal survey report, released by the Telugu Desam to its party cadre and the candidates contesting in the recent elections has cheered them as it predicts they will return to power. The survey also predicts that the TD may win 11 seats out of 19 in East Godavari.
There are peculiarities in the report and it has been stated that the candidates who were perceived to be weak and were losing were in fact winning. The Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayalia China Rajappa said that the TD would win in the elections and assume power again, led by the Chief Minister N. Chandra-babu Naidu.
He said that the people believed Mr Naidu’s leadership and a large number of women voted for the TD. He said that Mr Naidu was the only leader who could rule efficiently and take the state towards development and welfare.
According to sources, Tuni, Pithapuram, Rajanagaram, Anapa-rthi and some of the other constituencies also are in the winning list in the TD survey. It is said that Mr Rajappa may win from Peddapuram constituency again and six Assembly segments out of 7 in Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency may be won by the TD. However, the TD cadre lost its hopes on several constituencies like Tuni, Pithapuram, Rajanagaram, Anapa-rthi and others due to the prevailing local conditions.
