Tirupati: Samprokshanam fete concludes

The Maha Samprokshanam fete commenced last week and concluded on Monday amidst vedic rituals held at the Yagashala.

It was learnt from a temple official that the police have taken two suspects into custody and are investigating further into the incident.

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), on Monday, performed ‘Maha Samprok-shanam’ at Tirumala Nambi temple, the sub-shrine located on the premises of Lord Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.  

The Maha Samprokshanam fete commenced last week and concluded on Monday amidst vedic rituals held at the Yagashala.

As part of the fete,  Vishwaksena Puja, Pun-yahavachanam, Agni-prathishtha, Kumba-radhana and Maha Samprokshanam were performed on Monday. Later, Kala-shams were brought out of the Yagashala and taken into the Tirumala Nambi shrine, where Kalava-hana and Samprok-shanam were performed.  Pedda Jeeyar, Chinna Jeeyar, Tirupati JEO B. Lakshmi Kantham and many devotees were present.
