Hyderabad: Boy repels dogs, gets huge praises
The GHMC took cognisance of the event and sent dog squads to the area after the video was circulated.
Hyderabad: A video of a boy, who fearlessly faced a stray dogs attack at Anjaneya nagar, Kukatpally last Friday has gone viral. The incident was captured on a security camera outside a nearby house.
The footage shows the boy walking on a deserted lane with a little girl when a pack of sleeping dogs on the road wake up as the children approach them and try to attack them.
The scared girl runs away while the boy stands his ground and tries to defend himself raising his hands in a threatening gesture when the dogs retreat.
But as soon as turned back, another dog tried to attack from a different direction. The boy stopped and is soon surrounded by dogs. He then raises his hands threateningly and tries to turn on his feet. The dogs retreat seeing that they cannot intimidate the small boy. The little boy did not run away when the pack of growling dogs advanced upon him but took on the menacing animals fearlessly.
The footage, aired by various local news channels, has been hailed on social media as a perfect example of bravery.
The boy’s father hails from Srikakulam district, AP. He is settled in Hyderabad. The GHMC took cognisance of the event and sent dog squads to the area after the video was circulated.
“Children at his age will scream and shout or throw stones after seeing street dogs coming but this 5-years-old kid’s good presence of mind has made him an internet hero,” tweeted Mr. Krishna Rao.
“This is just awesome. But requets @GHMCOnline and @KTRTRS to take note and fix stray dogs prob. Kids would been hurt badl, tweeted Mr. Sachine Bhutada.
