More Telangana buses to run in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: The RTC will operate 221 more bus services to various parts of AP after the APSRTC withdrew its services after completing the permit period on March 31. The TSRTC will increase number of services running to AP after every month after the expiry of the permits issued to the APSRTC.

During joint meetings between the transport ministers of TS and AP, the committee constituted on the issues related to transport sector in two states has decided to allow more TSRTC buses in AP based on geographical area.

TSRTC Employees Union general secretary K. Raji Reddy said that usually the state RTC operates more buses based on the distance covered in the home state and geographical area. “We have been insisting on the TS government and TSRTC management to focus on the matter since the formation of state as TS as more geographical area,” Mr Raji Reddy said.
