Fearing failure in his final examination, an MBA student committed suicide in Jagathgirigutta on Wednesday. Police said A. Mahesh, son of A. Kumaraswamy from Somaiahnagar, was doing his MBA II from Vishwa Vishwani College at Shamirpet. After appearing for the final examination, he was afraid that he did it poorly. His parents noticed that he kept himself aloof. On Tuesday night he slept with other family members in a common area. Around 5 am, he went to sleep in another room, police said.
When he did not come out at 9 am, his father went to wake him up and found him hanging from the ceiling, Jagathgirigutta inspector Srinivas said.
In the second incident, Roshan Kumar, 23, a native of West Bengal, who was working with Infosys, allegedly committed suicide at his flat in Ghatkesar on Wednesday. Kumar wrote in his suicide note that his life had no purpose and nobody was responsible for his death. Selected in August 2015, he shared a three-bedroom flat with five other colleagues.
His colleagues said that he preferred to be alone in the past few days. He would keep to himself and would hardly ever be in touch with them. “On Tuesday he stayed back in the flat. Around 8 pm, his colleagues returned and found him hanging.” Ghatkesar inspector B. Prakash said.
Police found a suicide note of Roshan written in English which said “There is no purpose for me to live and nobody is responsible for my death. Pappa Please mujhe maaf karo.”
In a third incident, depressed over alleged dowry harassment, Harikeerthana, 23, a native of Vizag working with Apex Software Solutions here, committed suicide at her home in Sanathnagar on Tuesday.
Harikeerthana had married M. Bhanu Teja, who is employed with Wipro, on March 31 this year and came to Hyderabad. Her parents gave '10 lakh in cash and 25 tolas gold as dowry, but Bhanu Teja and his parents alleged harassed the woman for more dowry.
While her husband and inlaws said she had committed suicide, her parents alleged that she had been forced to end her life due to continuous harassment. A case of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide has been registered against the responsible.
