2011 Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case: Not afraid of anyone, says Mohammed Pahelwan
Pahelwan was released from the Cherlapally prison along with five other persons who were acquitted in the case.
Hyderabad: Mohammed Pahelwan, the prime accused in the attack on MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Thursday evening said that he was not afraid of anybody and was waiting for 2019 to show the world what he and his supporters can do.
Pahelwan was released from the Cherlapally prison along with five other persons who were acquitted in the case.
Speaking to the media later, Pahelwan said, “We are not afraid of anyone, nor are we going to hide from someone. We are not the sort of people who stand in masjids and make false promises or make pretences, nor do we shed crocodile tears.”
“We are straightforward people and God is with us,” Pahelwan said.
“We are waiting for 2019. We know what to do and we know how to do it. We will do what we have to do and we will do it in a way only we can,” he said flexing his muscles.
Earlier, Pahelwan’s relatives and supporters were in a celebratory mood after he was declared not guilty of the charges against him.
The crowd that had gathered near the court cheered him while he was taken to the Cherlapally Central Prison for documentation work, before his release.
Pahelwan waved to them from the police vehicle while being shifted from the court.
Scores of Pahelwan’s supporters and relatives had gathered in the court premises much before the accused were brought there.
Even before the proceedings began, they all appeared confident that the accused would be acquitted.
“We knew this would happen and they will come out clean before the law. It is a celebration time for us,” said a close relative of Pahelwan.
