Salem: Doctors perform post-mortem in the open at GH

Salem: Doctors at Salem Government Hospital performed the post-mortem of an unidentified body in the open on the hospital premises.

When confronted, they said that they were left with no choice as the unidentified body was completely decomposed and that they could not bear the  stench if the autopsy was done in a closed environment.  

The decomposed body was found drowned in a well and brought to the mortuary in GH. The autopsy was performed with the body placed on an elevated structure in the open in front of the mortuary.
