Giri Pradakshina at Srisailam Begins
Kurnool: The Srisailam temple authorities have announced that the Giri Pradakshina, a religious procession around the holy hill, will begin on Wednesday, August 30. This is due to the auspicious duration of Sravan Suddha Pournami being limited to the morning hours of Thursday.
In the evening, the Utsavamurthulu of Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba Ammavaru will receive Pujadikas with Mahamangalaharatula. Following this, the Giri Pradakshina will commence through the Dharmaprachara Ratha procession.
The yatra will start at the temple's Mahadwaram and include stops at key points such as Gangadhara Mandapam, Ankalamma Temple, Nandi Mandapam, Gangasadan, Bayalu Veerabhadraswamy Temple, Alaknareshwar Temple, Valayaradari, Sarangadhara Math, Hemareddy Mallamma Mandir, Rudravanam, Mahishasuramardhini, Rudraksha Math, and Vibhuti Math. It will conclude at Nandi Mandapam.
Devotees participating in the Giri Pradakshina will receive free darshan of Swamy and Ammavaru in the temple, according to officials.
