Community hospital with 60 beds starts in Anantapur
Anantapur: Anantapur Urban MLA Ananta Venkatrami Reddy, accompanied by MP Talari Rangaiah, ZP chairperson Girijamma and Anantapur Municipal Corporation mayor Md. Wasim, inaugurated the new Community Development Hospital built at a cost of ₹11 crore in the Old Town of Anantapur on Friday.
Earlier, the community hospital was located in an old building at the same place. State government decided to locate it in a new building at the same place.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA observed the community hospital inaugurated with 60 beds will provide corporate-level medical facilities to all sections of the society. Already 10 urban health centres are functioning in different areas of the city.
Ananta Venkatrami Reddy pointed out that the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Anantapur is being expanded incurring an expenditure of ₹300 crore for providing medical facilities for children and women.
