Delhi metro to run till 10 pm today on occasion of Diwali

The train services will run as usual for rest of the day on Diwali from 6 am onwards on all lines and from 4.45 am on the Airport Express.

New Delhi: Delhi metro services will be available till 10 pm on Sunday on the occasion of Diwali. The last train will start at 10 pm from the terminal stations of all metro lines including the Airport Express Line.

The train services will run as usual for rest of the day on Diwali from 6 am onwards on all lines and from 4.45 am on the Airport Express Line.

"In view of the larger public interest, the Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Mangu Singh has decided to revise timings of the last train service on Diwali to 10:00 pm from the earlier time of 8:00 pm. Thus, on Diwali the last Metro train service will now start at 10:00 pm from the terminal stations of all Metro Lines including Airport Express Line (Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Jahangir Puri, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Vaishali, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok, Mundka, Central Secretariat, Mandi House, Badarpur and New Dellhi & Dwarka Sec-21 Metro stations of Airport Express Line). Metro train services will run as usual for rest of the day on Diwalifrom 06:00 am to 08:00 pm," Anuj Dayal, DMRC spokesperson said in a press release.

"From 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the trains on all lines will however run with a frequency of about 30 minutes and thereafter, the last train service will be at 10:00 pm from terminal stations of all lines instead of the normal time of 11:00 pm," the release added.
