India looks for 300 fighter jets with Make in India' perspective

A top defence ministry source said a few unsolicited offers had been received.

New Delhi: After having signed a deal for 36 French Rafale aircraft, the government has started the hunt for 200-300 more fighter jets.

Embassies are getting in touch with manufacturers for information on the aircraft they can offer as well as the quantum and mode of technology transfer.

A top defence ministry source said a few unsolicited offers had been received. “We will be looking at the offers from the ‘Make in India’ perspective,” he said.
