Hyderabad: Minister KTR’s request to corporators to keep wards clean has bore fruit with Methodist Colony launching its swachh ward campaign with the help of Seshukumari, corporator of Ameerpet.
The GHMC prohibited the usage of plastic bags in meat shops due to health problems. Following this, residents of Methodist Colony gifted steel tiffin boxes to the butcheries in the colony in which meat will be given to customers who will return the boxes after usage. Residents were also advised to begin the leaf litter composting. A pit has been dug to throw the litter for composting.
The residents were also introduced to the sanitation staff who work in the colony.
