Quash Sarja's defamation suit: Sruthi Hariharan
The case has been adjourned to Tuesday.
Sruthi Hariharan’s advocate on Monday filed a petition before the city civil court, seeking rejection of a defamation suit filed against Sruthi by Arjun Sarja and told the court that she stands by her statements made against Sarja. The case has been adjourned to Tuesday.
On Monday, Sruth’s advocate Jayna Kothari argued that Sruthi stands firm on her statement that Sarja had allegedly sexually harassed her during a film shoot in 2016. She argued that since the defamation case papers do not have Arjun Sarja’s signatures on them, it should be dismissed.
She argued that the case is filed by his nephew Dhruva Sarja, stating that Arjun has given him the general power of attorney. But Arjun Sarja has not signed on general power attorney papers.
Justice J.R. Mendonca adjourned the case to Tuesday.
