K Chandrasekhar Rao's strategies realised Telangana: Kavitha
She asked the present and future generations to keep this in mind.
Nizamabad: MP K. Kavitha said that the TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s strategies and boldness have helped realise the dream of a separate Telangana state. She recalled how the leader had started a fast-unto-death on November 29 in 2009 for the cause while hailing his role in the Telangana movement. She asked the present and future generations to keep this in mind.
Deeksha Diwas was held here at the collector’s office grounds on Wednesday where senior TRS leader A.S. Poshetty, Zilla Parishad vice-chairperson G. Sumana and TNGOs president A. Kishan took part. Speaking at the meeting, Ms Kavitha said that KCR was still striving hard for Bangaru Telangana. The new state is moving forward with comprehensive development and welfare programmes, she explained.
The MP said that all sections in Telangana joined hands with KCR to carve out Telangana state and their participation is commendable. Rajya Sabha member D. Srinivas said that the TRS chief took daring step to set up Telangana state. “KCR sacrifices will definitely be remembered forever,” he said.
