Hyderabad: Another woman found burnt
According to Shamshabad DCP N. Prakash Reddy, the police received a call at about 8.30 pm on Dial 100, that a woman was seen burning.
Hyderabad: An unidentified woman was found engulfed in flames at Siddulagutta under the RGI Airport police station on Friday evening. Locals tried to douse the fire and rescue her but in vain. She died on the spot, police said quoting witnesses.
According to Shamshabad DCP N. Prakash Reddy, the police received a call at about 8.30 pm on Dial 100, that a woman was seen burning.
He said that four locals had allegedly seen the woman setting herself ablaze and they alerted two others. All of them went to rescue the woman by putting off the fire but did not succeed.
Police has booked a case of death under suspicious circumstances, and efforts are on to identify the woman. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for the post-mortem examination.
