Telangana: 3 reasons kids go to private schools

Hyderabad: What ails government schools and why do students migrate to private institutions? Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, who oversees the education portfolio, said the government probed the issue and found three main reasons for the migration of students from government schools to private schools.

“First, lack of basic facilities in government school. Second, teachers not available and third, parents desire to have their children study in English medium. We have taken note of this and we have taken corrective steps,” Mr Srihari told Legislative Council here on Thursday.
