Revanth demands repeal of GO 317 in open letter to KCR
Revanth Reddy contended that allotment as per the new zonal policy has come as a blessing for some and a curse for most
Hyderabad: TPCC president and Lok Sabha member A. Revanth Reddy demanded the immediate repeal of the flawed GO 317 (dated 6.12.2021), which pertains to allotment of staff to new local cadres in 63 departments This zonal transfer structure was causing more harm than good to government employees and teachers across the state, he said.
In an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday, Reddy demanded putting an end to the impasse over postings of employees and teachers by suitably modifying the guidelines. The Chief Minister, rather than take a unilateral decision, should first take the opinions of teachers and employees unions into consideration, and bring about relevant clauses, he said.
The TPCC president said that allocations and transfers were so hotchpotch and haphazard that employees and teachers were deemed non-locals in their respective native districts. He contended that allotment as per the new zonal policy has come as a blessing for some and a curse for most. He regretted that new districts were not considered as a unit for allotment and transfer. The seniors are being given an option in postings while juniors are being transferred to remote areas and as non-locals, which is condemnable, Reddy said. He wondered why the state government had not rectified the mistakes in the seniority list that were pointed out by teachers. He alleged that GO 317 was issued to adjust employees and teachers on a permanent basis based on seniority.
