TD-BJP win historical necessity, says Naidu
I brought international recognition to Hyderabad, says Naidu
Hyderabad: Stating that a victory of the TD-BJP alliance in the GHMC polls is a historical necessity, TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that the people haven’t forgotten development in Hyderabad seen during the TD rule.
Speaking to reporters after a hectic two-day campaign, Mr Naidu expressed confidence that the result in the 2014 elections in which the TD-BJP alliance won 14 of the 24 Assembly seats in GHMC limits would be repeated.
“We are not kingmakers. We are going to be king in the GHMC elections,” he said. “Wherever I go, people recall the work done by me and express happiness. I am satisfied, what else does a politician need other than people’s satisfaction?” Mr Naidu said.
Reacting to comments by his TS counterpart, Mr Naidu said “I developed Hyderabad on all fields. Hitec City is my brainchild and Hyderabad my “Manasa Putrika”. I completed construction of Hitec City in just 15 months but 12 years later, those in power have not been able to put in place a proper drainage system near it.”
“I brought international recognition to Hyderabad. During my tenure, eminent personalities like Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Tony Blair, and other VIPs visited Hyderabad.
“Now, no VIP is visiting Hyderabad. Hyderabad looks like the Old City, no development work have been done in the past 12 years. I challenge anyone to show any new project introduced in the past 12 years,” Mr Naidu said.
