TS to give temples a facelift: Minister
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that KCR has given importance to developing temples and helping them regain their original glory
HYDERABAD: Asserting that the government has spent more money on renovating historical temples in the state, animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Sunday said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has given importance to developing temples and helping them regain their original glory.
He was speaking after visiting Komaravelli Mallanna and Konda Pochamma temples in Siddipet district along with his family members.
Yadav said that Komaravelli Mallanna temple now boasts of all kinds of facilities, which has resulted in an increased number of devotees coming for darshan.
“The Chief Minister is committed to refurbish all places of worship towards which he is allocating additional funds,” Yadav said.
Underlining the importance of Yadadri temple, he said that the government has spent Rs 10 crore on Komuravelli temple by way of new road links, drinking water supply, cottages and other facilities for the convenience of devotees.
The government also extended financial support to Bhadradri and Vemulawada temples, where different programmes are being organised by the endowment department, he said.
