Hubballi: Former MLC Mohan Limbikai has been appointed as the new legal adviser to Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa.

Limbikai, a lawyer by profession, was a Bharatiya Janata Party MLC  and had resigned from the post to join the KJP launched by Yediyurappa in 2013 before rejoining the Bharatiya Janata Party again in the same year after Narendra Modi was made the Prime Ministerial candidate ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

“I hope the Chief Minister has appointed me as legal advisor after having seen my service in the legal field and concern for society. I deem it my responsibility to render my service to the people of the State. My loyalty alone did not help me become legal advisor, my close association with the Chief Minister is secondary", he said.

Limbikai who belongs to the Lingayat community, has been practising as an advocate since the last 30 years and worked as professor at a law college for 15 years. He also served as senate and Syndicate member of Karnataka University.
