Lucknow: After electric poles and state buses, it is now the Chief Minister’s office in Lucknow that is getting a saffron coat of paint.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan, which houses the Chief Minister’s office, is being painted saffron.

For years now, the building has had a white coating and even the former CM Mayawati who had a penchant for blue, did not change the colour of the building.

Talking to mediapersons about the decision, state property officer Yogesh Shukla said on Monday that “several colours were considered but saffron was chosen as the best.”
