BJP fears RTC land may be leased to TRS leaders
Moreover, Laxman alleged that the TRS wanted to remove two children clause in the municipal elections for the sake of MIM.
Hyderabad: The BJP state president, Dr. K Laxman, referring to the Telangana High Court coming down heavily on the state government with its serious criticisms on the attitude of the government in dealing with the RTC strike, sarcastically advised Chief Minister (CM), K. C. Rao to understand the difference between “akshtaas (blessings but actually criticisms) of the High Court" on the RTC strike and the "akshtaas (blessing) of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy”
Laxman said “The BJP was not against the privatisation of the RTC but is against RTC land assets being leased out or being given to the TRS party leaders or family members. The RTC employees strike has entered its 26th day and Rao, even after the direction of the High Court, has not been able to solve the problems of the RTC employees. The sacked 48,000 employees should be taken back on the job and their two months' salary should be released immediately. It was painful to see workers committing suicide even after Telangana came.”
Moreover, Laxman alleged that the TRS wanted to remove two children clause in the municipal elections for the sake of MIM. He warned that “the upcoming municipal polls are just the semi-finals.”
