Reddy lamented that many district hospitals lacked infrastructural facilities to even conduct tests.
Hyderabad: Congress MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy) has written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, urging them to provide free treatment to cancer patients admitted in corporate hospitals by bearing the entire expenditure incurred towards the treatment.

Jagga Reddy hoped that the state and union governments would rise to the occasion and support such anguished patients from the time they are diagnosed with the disease right up to the surgery and post-surgery stage.
He lamented that many district hospitals lacked infrastructural facilities to even conduct tests. Moreover, he pointed out, some forms of cancer are not covered under Arogyasree, making it terrible to the families of the patients.
He exhorted Modi to launch a scheme that provides free treatment to cancer patients belonging to the economically poorer strata.
