AP government extends Sankranti holidays till Jan. 20

Vijayawada: The AP government on Wednesday issued an order extending the Sankranti holidays up to January 20.

In his order, school education commissioner S. Suresh Kumar said requests had been received from parents and teachers that the holidays be extended by an additional two days till Saturday, January 20.

Initially, Sankranti holidays had been declared from January 9 to January 18, covering a span of 10 days. Now, the holidays have been extended up to January 20.

January 21 being Sunday, schools will now reopen only on January 22.
