MRFD Top Engineer Venkata Ramana Passes Away
Hyderabad: S. Venkata Ramana, the superintendent engineer of the Musi River Front Development Corporation (MRDCL) breathed his last on Thursday. He is survived by his wife and two children.
He suffered a heart attack 15 days back and since then he has been in a coma. He was being treated in a private hospital, where breathed his last on Thursday.
Venkata Ramana also served as an engineer in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) project wing. Major infrastructure projects including the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Stay Bridge was built under his supervision.
The Shilpa Layout flyover was also executed under his supervision. He received appreciation from his reporting authorities when some spans of the flyover were installed around 18 metres above the ground and placed across the existing Gachibowli Crossroad Flyover.
He was also known for good rapport with locals, religious heads and elected representatives. He used to convince people on land acquisition for executing developmental works.
