RPF Rescues 2 Minors, Trafficker Held

Hyderabad: Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Lingampally successfully rescued two minors from the clutches of a suspected child trafficker at Lingampally Railway Station on Wednesday.

In a routine surveillance check on platform number 1 of Lingampalli Railway station, RPF officials identified two children who appeared to be in distress and were accompanied by a suspicious adult male.

Upon questioning, the children revealed that they were brought from Uttar Pradesh to Hyderabad to work as helpers in construction work. The suspected trafficker, who also hailed from Uttar Pradesh, admitted to residing in Hyderabad for the past two years and working as a building contractor, often brings labourers from his village.

RPF officials registered a case and arrested the person. The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Rangareddy district and were safely relocated to the Government Home for further care and rehabilitation.
