Four Youths on Ride to Ayodhya on Bicycles, Returning by Train
Adilabad: A group of four youths of Borabanda in Hyderabad is currently on a pilgrimage on their bicycles to Ayodhya and aim to reach there on January 27. The youths would have darshan of Lord Sri Ram in the new temple, where the consecration of the idol and inauguration of the shrine take place on January 22. The youths carry saffron flags with photos of the Ayodhya temple and the Lord Sri Ram image on them.
A few days ago, they bought new bicycles, each costing Rs.8,000 for their pilgrimage. They decided to donate these bicycles to the poor and needy in Ayodhya. "We would return by train after having the darshan," the youths stated.
The youths had started their yatra three days ago.Their bicycle yatra reached Adilabad on its way to Maharashtra, en route to Ayodhya in UP, on Wednesday. “We are carrying a pump set and safety headgear,” they said.
The team comprised Venkatesh, Sai Srujan, Thirumal and Abhishek of Borabanda. They are studying B.Com Computer Science at a degree college in Kukatpally.
Venkatesh told Deccan Chronicle that RSS members along the route would extend their help for the journey. “We have to travel the remaining 1,000km to reach Ayodhya from Adilabad,” he noted.
“We cover a distance of about 100 km a day and take some rest in between. If any Hindu organisation provides accommodation, good, or else we would camp where possible,” the team members said.
