Hyderabad: Gated communities have placed large cutouts of Lord Rama, the residential towers are festooned with colourful illumination and decorated with flowers, saffron banners and flags, ahead of the January 22 Pran Prathistha ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

Aparna Cyber Commune in Nallagandla, Trendset Sumanjali in Banjara Hills Road No. 5, My Home Vihanga in Nanakramguda, Aparna Towers in Kondapur are among those who are ready for the ceremony.

The Federation of Gated Communities Cyberabad (FGCC), the apex body of 62 gated communities, with each society having over 100 flats, has drafted a common illumination theme for all members. Their towers will be illuminated with saffron and white bulbs.

These 62 gated communities would screen the live telecast of the Ayodhya ceremony from 11 am. “The other programmes include chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama followed by Ram bhajans,” said Dr Sai Ravi Shanker, president of FGCC.

Several gated communities have planned events like rath yatras, enactment of the Ramleela, recitation of the Sundarakanda of the Ramayana, drawing special rangoli and deepotsav as well as bursting of crackers.

G. Ridhima from Trendset Sumanjali said that they had decided to lit diyas. The premises had been decorated with the theme ‘Jai Shri Ram.’
