Hyderabad: A realtor from the city was found murdered in Bidar on Saturday. The body of Madhu was found a deserted spot next to a closed dhaba on the national highway. CCTV footage showed four persons abandoning the body at the spot.

Karnataka police said it appeared that Madhu had been attacked by broken beer bottles and a rock. No complaint has been lodged with the Jeedimetla police yet, officials said.

Sub-inspector D. Shailaja of the Mannaekhalli police in Karnataka told Deccan Chronicle: “We have received a call on Saturday morning about an unidentified body.” She said that preliminary investigation based on the statements of Madhu’s family members indicated that the murder could be the result of previous enmity.

“CCTV footage from the area showed four persons abandoning his body in a deserted place. It shows that they might have murdered him somewhere else,” Shailaja said.

According to reliable sources, on Friday afternoon Madhu's friend Renuka Prasad and two others, Nikith and P. Gopi, took Madhu from his house. Madhu informed his family members that he was going to Bidar with them for some work.

Later that night, he called again to say he was on his way back home. On Saturday morning, the police informed the family about Madhu's murder. They immediately rushed to the scene. Investigations are underway to ascertain motive behind the murder, the police said.
