All set for Vykuntha Ekadasi on Monday
KAKINADA: Authorities of various Vaishnavite temples have made all arrangements to celebrate Vykuntha Ekadasi or Mukkoti Ekadasi festival on Monday. This day is believed to be a very auspicious day, as “three crore Goddesses bless people on the day” during the Dhanurmasa (auspicious Pushya Masa for Telugus) up to Sankranti festival.
Temples provide Darshan to devotees through Uttara Dwara, where devotees go to the temple and take darshan of Lord Vishnu through the north-side door. Devotees start arriving at the temples of Vishnu on the day from early hours.
Officials have made elaborate arrangements at shrines like Sri Trimurthyatmaka Hari Hara Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Annavaram in Kakinada district, Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Dwaraka Tirumala, known as China Tirupati, in Eluru district, Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Appanapalli and Vadapalli, and Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Antarvedi in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. Temples have been decorated with different flowers and vegetables.
First Darshan to the devotees will be provided by 5 am on Monday at all these temples after performing Suprabatha Seva, Abhishekam and other poojas.
Dwaraka Tirumala temple executive officer V. Trinadha Rao said special queue lines have been formed and all arrangements made for devotees for having a good darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
Trinadha Rao said they are expecting nearly 50,000 devotees who will have darshan of the Lord. Anna Prasadam will be offered without any limit on the number of devotees. Prasadam, biscuits, drinking water and milk will be provided to devotees in queue lines too.
Annavaram executive officer N.V.S.N. Murthy said Seva Karyakartha volunteers will provide milk, biscuits, water, Kadambam (prasadam) to devotees from 5 am to 5 pm.
Rathotsavam (chariot procession) will be at 11 am and Gramotsvam at 7 pm
The EO said that several cultural programmes like Kolatam and Bhajanas have been arranged. Regular sevas like Suprabhatam and Abhishekam too will be available.
All Vaishnavite temples in erstwhile East and West Godavari districts have organised the Uttara Dwara Darshan. There will also be philosophical and Tiruppavai sermons.
