Kochi: The High Court panel has recommended former DGP TP Senkumar and former additional Chief Secretary V. Somasundaram as members of Kerala Administrative Tribunal but it is pending before the state government. This information surfaced through a plea filed by one Satheesh, who moved the court seeking the State approval for the names recommended by the court. The petitioner said the court had recommended the names a few months back but the Cabinet is yet to accord sanction.

A division bench sought state government's opinion in the decision and adjourned the case. The petitioner contended that the case against his removal filed by Mr Senkumar at the apex court was behind the delay. He was removed citing shortcomings in the investigation into Perumbavoor rape and murder case as well as Puttingal fire tragedy. As per norms, the state cabinet should pass an order appointing them.
