Laxman still on fast, says no to IV Drip

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president K. Laxman was rushed to the emergency department at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences but continued with his hunger strike and did not agree to take IV fluids till late in the evening.

A senior doctor said, “He is taking only water but has refused to take fruit juice or semi-solid foods.”

The doctor said, “If the patient does not co-operate and there is deterioration in the condition we will have to forcibly administer IV fluids. Right now his blood pressure and sugar levels are being monitored every hour.”
