Mr Rajeswara Reddy said Prof. Kodandaram was taking the support of the Congress which had not taken any steps to fill the vacancies.

Hyderabad: TRS Legislative Council member Palla Rajeswara Reddy on Sunday said Magnetic Infotech (MI), a private firm engaged for pre- and post-Eamcet processes, had nothing to do with the printing of question papers. Allegations by Congress and TD leaders linking the firm with IT minister K.T. Rama Rao was baseless, he said.

Calling the Opposition allegations “false and malicious”, the MLC told the media that  Magnetic Infotech had been entrusted with Eamcet for five years. The firm was retained for the AP Eamcet this year as well, he said.

He said JNTU-H, which conducted the Eamcet-2, engages private firms for printing the question papers which is done secretly and has nothing to do with Magnetic Infotech. CID investigations so far show the question papers were leaked from a press in Delhi.

“The Opposition which has no issue is deliberately trying to link a private firm with the question paper leakage from a printing press in Delhi and trying to spread false information with regard to Mr Rama Rao,” he said.
