How to curb student fury, Kerala High Court asks state

Kochi: Kerala High Court has observed that violence against educational institutions by the students unions have to be controlled.  The Kerala High Court on Monday asked the State government to file an affidavit explaining the steps taken to prevent violence inside the educational institutions in ten days. Court issued the order while considering a batch of petitions filed by various CBSE educational institutions alleging attack against their institutions by striking students from nearby schools.

The petitioners argued that even LKG students were forced to leave the schools by these students.  The court noted that such activism would spoil the future of young students. And they could not be compensated. The court said that there should be a legal solution to the problem.  Advocate General submitted that the government was thinking of a mechanism to prevent violence by the students organization against the educational institutions. The problem had to be solved politically . Political and legal issued were involved in the matter, court opined. Things would get worse if the police intervened in the students strikes. He said that the way out of the situation was to find a political solution. It could be resolved through talks with the student organizations.
