KANNUR: Mayyil police on Tuesday registered a case against a BJP local leader, A.K. Narayanan, a native of Irikkur near here, on sexual abuse charges by a homemaker. Mr Narayanan, an ex-serviceman and BJP's candidate in Malappattam ward in the last civic elections, has allegedly been continuously threatening her to have a sexual relationship.  The man even threatened to abuse the daughter of the woman as she did not budge.

“I was forced to file the complaint as the person started entering my home with the threats and also showered abuses over the phone,” she says in her complaint. The police said the statement of the woman was registered and the investigation is underway.  The woman had also submitted complaints to DGP, Women’s Commission, women’s cell and Kannur DySP.
