K Mohandas to head 11th pay commission
The commission has been appointed based on the principle of pay revision once in every five years.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cabinet on Thursday constituted 11th Pay Commission to submit recommendations for the revision of pay scales of state government employees and teachers.
Former IAS officer K. Mohandas will be the chairman. Prof M.K. Sukumaran Nair, honorary director, Centre for Budgetary Studies and CUSAT and advocate Ashok Mammen Cheiryan are members.
The Commission has been asked to submit its report within six months. The tenure of the existing Tenth Pay Commission had ended on June 30, 2019. As a result the new commission will come into effect from July 1, 2019.

Delimitation Commission constituted for re-evaluating the local bodies segments. State Election Commissioner V Bhaskaran will be the chairman. The commission has been constituted as per the Kerala Panchayati Raj Act ahead of the local bodies elections scheduled to be held in October 2020.
