Gurajada Death Anniversary Observed

Vijayawada: The Department of Telugu of PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College in Vijayawada organised a programme to mark the death anniversary of Mahakavi Gurajada Venkata Appa Rao on Thursday.

A highlight was members of National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Social Service (NSS) and students and sports clubs wearing tricolour caps and forming an India map on the college grounds.

Siddhartha Academy’s Paladugu Lakshman Rao hoisted the national flag on the occasion. Gurajada's popular poem “Desamuni Preminchumanna” was sung as part of the death anniversary.

Lakshmana Rao asked students to know more about Gurajada and his writings, so that they can realise how useful they are for the society.
