Tamil Nadu CM Cancels at Public Engagements Till December 4

Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin announced the cancellation of all his public engagements for the next three days, till Monday, December 4, in view of his involvement in the precautionary work that would have to be undertaken by the government with the weather department forecasting heavy rains in the State.

Among the major events scheduled in those three days is one to observe the Differently-Abled Persons Day on December 2, which would be held on a later date after the rains.

The Chief Minister also instructed all his top party functionaries – Ministers, MPs, MLAs, local body representatives, district secretaries – to coordinate with the government officials in providing succor to the people affected by the rains and floods.

He also requested them to support the government officials in making arrangements for supplying food, water, dresses, medicines and other essential goods for the poor people who might be affected by the heavy rains.
