AP CM YS Jagan keeps his word
Vijayawada: Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu has said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy kept his word on raising the welfare pension to Rs 3,000 under the YSR Pension Kanuka scheme from the first day of the New Year 2024.
Addressing the media here on Monday, the minister reminded the people that Jagan Reddy, during his election campaign in 2019, promised to increase the pension amount to Rs 3,000. “He increased it from Rs 2,250 to Rs 3,000 as of today in a phased manner. On January 3, every volunteer will go door-to-door and provide the pension at the rate of Rs 3,000,” the minister said.
Rambabu said Chilakaluripet MLA and health minister Vidadala Rajini has been appointed as YSRC party in-charge of Guntur West constituency, but Telugu Desam and Jana Sena men attacked her officer around midnight on Sunday night, when she was all set to work from the new office from the first day of the New Year.
He said whenever Telugu Desam joined hands with Jana Sena, anarchy was the result.
Citing the attack carried out by TD goons at Khammam in Telangana, Rambabu said, “When I went to attend a wedding function in Khammam, Telugu Desam goons tried to attack me too. They all belong to the same community. He termed Pawan Kalyan a big anarchist.
