HYDERABAD: Three ganja addicts stripped and beat a 15-year-old Class X student after he refused to give them money. The victim was travelling with his sister in an autorickshaw on Wednesday night on Ansari road in Mailardevpally when the trio pulled him out and demanded Rs. 3,000 that he reportedly owed them.

When the victim said that he had repaid the money along with interest, one of the accused stripped him, Mailardevpally police said. The other accused used the victim’s waist belt to thrash him.

They warned him against going to the police. The victim shouted for help but no one was present at that time. He managed to escape without his clothes. A villager gave him clothes and informed his parents who live in Falaknuma. The accused fled from the scene, police said.

His family rushed to Mailardevpally, admitted him to a private hospital and filed a written complaint with Mailardevpally police, said inspector P. Madhu.
