Another complaint of threat against CPM leader A A Rahim
Mr Radhakrishnan had submitted a complaint that Mr Rahim had threatened to kill him.
Thiruvananthapuram: After the vice-chancellor P.K. Radhakrishnan, it is the turn of Kerala University Students Services Director T Vijayalakshmy to submit complaint against syndicate member and CPM leader A A Rahim. Ms Vijayalakshmi in a complaint submitted to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Education Minister C Raveendranath and DGP Loknath Behra on Saturday has alleged that Mr Rahim had threatened her. Mr Radhakrishnan had submitted a complaint that Mr Rahim had threatened to kill him.
Ms Vijayalakshmi who was in the room of the pro vice-chancellor N Veeramanikandan when the SFI activists gheored him on Thursday alleging that the money for the youth festival was not being released, said in her complaint that they, along with Mr Rahim, abused her, the pro vice chancellor and finance officer P.K. Raju. It was at this juncture that Mr Rahim threatened to kill the vice-chancellor, Ms Vijayalakshmi alleged. She also alleged that University Union Chairman Amal, general secretary Ms Ashitha and SFI district president Prithin Saj Krishna was present at the time when Mr Rahim made the threat. The present events was a fallout of the long standing disputes between the vice-chancellor and the CPM syndicate members which also resulted in the postponement of the academic council scheduled for the day.
