KCR hopes ‘Shubhakrut’ brings TS good fortune
KCR added that Telangana has achieved unprecedented development in the field of agriculture to make the country proud in its entirety
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao hoped that Telugu New Year “Shubhakrut”, which wraps up auspiciousness (shubh) in the name itself, will bring good fortune to the people in all spheres.
The CM greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of Ugadi on Saturday.
Rao will host official Ugadi celebrations in a grand manner at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday after a gap of four years. All the ministers, party MLAs, MLCs, MPs and other elected representatives, including GHMC corporators have been invited for the celebrations. Ugadi celebrations were last held at Pragathi Bhavan in 2018.
There were no celebrations in 2019 due to election code for Lok Sabha polls and in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions.
The CM said that the people of Telangana will start the new year from Ugadi and farmers will start their agricultural work. The CM said that the Telangana government was giving maximum encouragement to the irrigation and agriculture sectors. He said the Telangana government is the only government in India that gave the highest priority to welfare of farmers.
He added that Telangana has achieved unprecedented development in the field of agriculture to make the country proud in its entirety. He said that Telangana, which did not look for a crop one day, is now challenging the Centre in procuring grain with the highest crop yield.
He said the state government was working tirelessly to reach this level. The CM said the rural economy of Telangana was strengthened by strengthening occupations allied to agriculture by developing the sector. The Telangana government is following the motto that ‘all people will be happy when agriculture is good’.
The CM said that the development of the agricultural sector has indirectly enhanced the employment opportunities in concerned productive and service sectors for the youth in Telangana. CM said that all sectors have been strengthened in the recent past and Telangana will develop further in the year of “Shubhakrut".
