HYDERABAD: The seasonal outlook report by IMD for this month indicates that the weather in the state would be unlike what it is every year. Instead, April is likely to have normal and below-normal maximum temperatures — between 33º Celsius and 35ºC.

Also, the minimum temperatures will very likely be normal to below normal, below 15ºC, with low possibility of heat wave days. Further, normal to above normal rainfall is very likely in the state — 83- 117 per cent.

The report observed that neutral ENSO —  El Nino-Southern Oscillation — conditions are prevailing over the equatorial, referring to the temperature of water in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean, which are believed to have an impact on the weather in India. Neutral Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) conditions were present, which refers to temperature over the western Indian Ocean.

The IMD said two low-pressure areas were impacting weather in the state — a trough running from east Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha and a trough from the cyclonic circulation over central Uttar Pradesh to Telangana. These would bring light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
