Woman constable dies in road accident in Jagtial

WARANGAL:  In a tragic incident, a woman police constable was killed in a road accident after losing control of a two-wheeler vehicle she was riding to attend her duty here at the sub-registration office in Mallial mandal of Jagtial district on Monday.

The constable who was identified as T. Vedasri, 29, of the 2018 batch, was working at Mallial police station. As part of her daily routine, Vedasri was travelling on her two-wheeler vehicle to attend her duties.

When she was near the sub-registration office in Mallial which is just one kilometre away from the police station, she lost control of the bike and fell from it. She received severe head injuries in the accident as she was not wearing a helmet.

The woman constable with serious injuries was then immediately shifted to the government hospital in Jagtial by the locals where she died while undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, superintendent of Police A. Bhaskar visited the hospital and paid tributes by placing a wreath on the body of the police constable. He consoled the bereaved family members and assured them all of the assistance on behalf of the police department.

Special Branch Inspector Rajashekar Raju, Mallial circle inspector Ramana Murthy, ASI Chiranjeevi and others paid tributes to the deceased constable.
