Traffic diversion in Guntur today over CM's programme
VIJAYAWADA: Guntur police have restricted the movement of vehicles in Guntur city on Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. in view of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy participating in the Dr. YSR Yantra Seva Padhakam programme on the day, followed by a public meeting.
APSRTC vehicles entering Guntur city from the Chilakaluripet side will be diverted from Budampadu junction to the RTC bus stand via Ponnuru road. Vehicles going: from Guntur city to Chilakaluripet should go through the Market Pereracharla bus stand and take the bypass junction road.
Vehicles coming from Narasaraopet and Sattenapalli to Guntur city, including RTC buses and goods vehicles, must go towards the national highway from Nallapadu Junction towards Ankireddy Palem.
Vehicles going from APSRTC bus stand to Sattenapalli and Narasaraopet should go via Hindu College Centre, Collector Office Road, Pattabhipuram and Pericherla Junction via Palakaluru Road.
Cars and motorcycles entering Guntur city from Pericherla should reach Rythu Bazar and proceed towards the Collectorate Road via AT Agraharam main road.
District SP Arif Hafiz said no vehicles will be allowed from Guntur Zilla Parishad Road and Guntur Convention Hall to Chuttugunta, Lalupuram Junction to Chuttugunta and Chilakaluripet Y Junction to Chuttugunta.
The SP asked people to make their travel plans accordingly.
