Students of Chaliyam Imbichi Hajji Higher Secondary School build house for classmate

A sum of Rs 7 lakh was raised from the public, students, teachers and their parents to build the house.

The students helped in the construction daily during the last few months by carrying bricks to the site, preparing cement mixture, digging earth and handing over the material to masons.

KOZHIKODE: The students of Chaliyam Imbichi Hajji Higher Secondary School have constructed a house for their schoolmate under the project, ‘Sahapadiku Oru Veedu’ (house for classmate). The house built near Chaliyam  is the second one completed  by the students  and it will be handed over to the beneficiary by Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran on September 9. A sum of Rs 7 lakh was raised from the public,  students, teachers and their parents to build the  house.

The students helped in the construction daily during the last few months by carrying bricks to the site, preparing  cement mixture, digging earth and handing over the material to masons. Mr V.K.C. Mammed Koya MLA will announce the construction of the third house as part of the  project on September 9 after handing over the key of the second house.
