Grant of exemption from attendance: Last date Nov 30, Dec 31 with penalty

Vijayawada: The notification for grant of exemption from attendance to the private candidates, was issued on Monday by the AP Board of Intermediate Education.

Secretary BIE, Sourabh Gaur, said the due dates to apply for Grant of Attendance Exemption online from the Board of Intermediate Education, AP, to the private candidates without college study, and for change of group to appear for Intermediate Public Examinations in March 2024 are as follows:

“The last date for payment of exemption fee of Rs 1500 and submission of application form for grant of exemption online is 30- 11-2023. The last date with an additional penal fee of Rs 500 is 31- 12-2023.”

“The eligibility conditions are: the candidates who have a gap of one year after passing the qualifying examination -- SSC or its equivalent -- are eligible to appear only for first year IPE March 2024 and if the gap period is two years or more they can appear for both 1st and 2nd year in IPE March 2024 at a time.”

“Further, the candidates who appeared for 2nd year Intermediate Public Examinations earlier (failed candidates) and who desire to change their optional subjects from Sciences to Arts/Humanities or in Arts/Humanities from one institution to another, a change of group is permissible as per the rules of the board and they will also have to apply for ‘exemption from attendance’ on or before the due date given above.”

“The candidates who passed Intermediate Public Examinations, with BPC and who desire to appear with Mathematics as an additional subject: Intermediate Pass Certificate holders can appear for Second Language as additional subjects under Attendance Exemption. All private candidates who are granted exemption from attendance and who intend to appear for First or Second year IPE March 2024 for the first time will have to answer the papers on par with the Syllabus prescribed for the regular students.”

“No exemption fee or penal fee will be charged from candidates who have enrolled themselves under APSSDC Skilling programmes in Skill Hubs or Skill Colleges.”

“Such candidates are required to furnish their Skill Id as given to trainees under APSSDC training programmes and provide details of skill training being undertaken by them (Training Partner TP Code, Training Centre TC code, Training Programme Code as per National Skill Qualification Framework NSQF etc.).”

“The candidates are directed to apply for attendance exemption online by visiting website https:/lbieap.apcfss.in/ and they shall upload the scanned copy of the original certificates of SSC(X) Pass Certificate, TC (Transfer Certificate) if applicable in the website. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee online only. The application received by post or in person will not be considered.”
