Aspirants flay Telangana on teachers' test

The aspirants wanted to allow the candidates, who have BEd and DEd degrees along with TET holders, to apply for the recruitment test.

Hyderabad: Aspirants of teachers’ recruitment test have demanded withdrawal of the discriminatory percentage in marks in degree and intermediate qualifications.

The aspirants wanted to allow the candidates, who have BEd and DEd degrees along with TET holders, to apply for the recruitment test.

R Ragini, an aspirant, said, “Earlier, we were allowed to apply and complete the teacher training even with 40 per cent marks at the intermediate.  The rules were changed two years back.”

“According to the GO number 25, we are not allowed to apply for the test. We request the Telangana government to allow us to apply for test by making amendments. We also want to withdraw the discriminatory condition percentage in degree and intermediate qualifications,” she added.
